This is Coach Marlee's first year with Cherokee Country Club and she is thrilled to join the long-standing tradition of the Tomahawk swim team.
Marlee began swimming at the age of 7, where she swam for the Northside YMCA and PACK (Pilot Aquatic Club of Knoxville). She then continued her career at Central High School, where she broke multiple school records and holds them to this day. Coach Marlee received a scholarship to swim at King College before tearing her rotator cuff prior to her first college season, thus prematurely ending her career. Since then, she has coached for Jefferson County Swim Club, Emerald Youth Foundation, Farragut High School, and now Cherokee.
Coach Marlee was born and raised in Knoxville and lives with her husband, Matt, and two bluetick hounds, Neyland and Gracie. They absolutely love traveling & sports, especially baseball, so you'll catch them at Vols Baseball or Yankees games. In her free time, Coach Marlee loves to read, work out, watch Top Gun, and attend metal concerts.
Gabrielle has been swimming competitively since she was 8 years old and she has been coaching club swimming for the past 4 years. Gabrielle is Red Cross Lifeguard and CPR certified and has taught swim lessons for 3 years.
Gabrielle grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago, then relocated to the Knoxville area with her family in 2024. She is currently a senior at UT studying animal science with the goal of attending vet school. Her three sisters swim for local school and club teams in Farragut. This is her first season working with Cherokee and she is so excited to meet the team and have a great summer!
Emma is in her first year working at Cherokee Country Club. She has been a swim coach for six years and was a competitive swimmer for four years, giving her a strong passion for all things swimming. She is currently a junior studying mechanical engineering at the University of Tennessee. She is excited and looking forward to all the fun this summer will bring.
